Operations Director of Employment, Education, Health, Young People & Families and Social Enterprise
Professional Background & Relevant Experience
I completed my degree in Criminal Justice and started working for Humankind in 2002 when I finished university. Starting as a Support Worker, I progressed into a leadership position in 2006 in the employment department. My responsibilities have broadened, and I am now responsible for Humankind’s social enterprise, More Time, and oversee Health, Young People & Families on an interim basis.
How I Came to Work at Humankind
I started working for Humankind when I left University. I was volunteering in a probation hostel and as school mentor to gain practical experience and applied for a Support Worker position within Humankind. I was offered a position on the Connect project, a service that provided social support to people to help to remove barriers to employment.
What I Enjoy About Working at Humankind
I love the diversity of the organisation and the range of services that we offer. Our staff and service users are passionate about the work that we do and the impact our services can make in a person’s life.
