I have a wide range of experience in voluntary and statutory organisations, developing services and working with families and children. In particular, I was involved in a pioneering diversion project with young offenders, and have acted in a campaigning role challenging child poverty and promoting children’s rights. Most recently, I have moved into an academic role researching in youth justice, and contributing to the education of qualifying social workers.
I joined the Board of Humankind because I think it is important to encourage and support a thriving and committed independent sector providing a range of effective services to promote the well-being of individuals and families in difficult circumstances. I’m pleased to be able to contribute to Humankind’s mission
