Colleagues fundraising for Teesside Hospice

Four of our workers are raising money for Teesside Hospice, at a Midnight Walk on 16th June.

The walkers are Debbie Calvert, Susie Broughton, Shannon McNamara and Louisa Collin, who work within our Gypsy, Romany, Traveller Housing project and our Young People’s Floating Support Service in County Durham.

Louisa said: “We decided to choose this charity as Debbie’s mother was cared for at the hospice and Debbie was so grateful for the professionalism, respect and care they provided to her mother and family.”

She says it costs £2.8m a year to provide the Teesside Hospice service and only a third of this is funded by grants and the NHS. The hospice therefore relies on funding from individuals, organisations, businesses and foundations.
