Humankind Prison Release Information

Helping people leaving North East prisons to remain in touch and connect with services in their community.

We want to help people leaving North East prisons to remain in touch and connect with services in their community.

During the current COVID-19 pandemic many of the routes normally used to access services have changed and services are having to reduce seeing people face to face.

For those on a prescription to support their recovery, keeping in regular contact with your community drug and alcohol service is particularly important.

Services in your area

You can scroll down and click the link relating to the area you will be living in. If you need any help with this, please give us a call.

  • You can see how to get in touch with services like
  • Community drug and alcohol service provision,
  • Local pharmacy information (many pharmacies are working to different opening hours),
  • Local authority housing support and support hubs for vulnerable people,
  • Job Centre Plus,
  • A wide range of community support agencies.
