Sefton Restart Employability Programme
Sefton Restart is a brand-new government scheme that will support thousands of people who have been out of work and claiming Universal Credit for at least 12 months to build confidence, skills and find work.
We're here to help
If you’re out of work, the Restart Scheme will help you build your confidence, skills and find a job that is right for you.
We provide a programme of support for anyone who lives in Sefton, is unemployed and seeking work, and has been in receipt of Universal Credit for more than 12 months.
Sefton Restart offers support that is more focused and personalised than that available from the Job Centre. You will be matched with an Employment Coach who will work closely with you, creating a tailored plan to help you every step of the way. Your Coach will help you:
- Focus your job search
- Provide 1:1 coaching
- Offer advice and guidance on applying and interviewing for roles that appeal to you
- Provide support to enhance your health and wellbeing
- Settle into your new role once you’ve found work and assist with benefits, training, career progression, and more
This service is a referral only service for residents of Sefton who have been in receipt of Universal Credit for 12 months or more. Anybody interested should speak to their Job Centre Work Coach at the Bootle JCP, Crosby JCP, or Southport JCP and request a referral to our Sefton Restart Programme.
Come and find out how much better off you’d be in work, with support designed especially for you.
Are you an employer looking to recruit?
If you have vacancies, we can bring job–ready candidates to you. We can support your recruitment process by taking the time to understand what skills you require in your staff for your business to be successful, as well as providing training and upskilling opportunities that meet your recruitment needs. We will also provide in–work support for both yourself and any employees you recruit through us to ensure that employment opportunities are sustainable.
