Micro volunteer
Are you looking for a quick and easy way to support your local area in the North East Area of Barnsley?
We are looking for people on an ongoing basis to have a local presence throughout Barnsley so that there are less barriers to individuals wanting to seek support, ask questions or engage in training linked to alcohol and other drugs.
One Off Activity Volunteer
Could you share your skills or passion to run a one-off activity for our Together Service across Devon?
We are looking for people on an ongoing basis to provide new and exciting activities to our clients to improve their overall wellbeing.
Volunteer – Young People’s Outreach Facilitator
The aim of this role is to support the team to build relationships with schools and youth centres in the borough and to deliver assemblies and workshops alongside a staff member or volunteer. We’re especially keen to hear from young adults who have been affected by substance use and / or other issues that face young people today, who have taken positive steps they can share.

This role is to help Pier Road Project, in conjunction with Mind, to support Family members and Carers affected by the substance use of someone close to them.

We know that the hardest step for the people we support is often the first one through the door. That’s why we love to have volunteers providing a welcoming, friendly face for people attending the Exeter hub. Meet and Greet Volunteers help to welcome all visitors and connect them with the right member of the team.

Community Support Volunteer
This role is based in Harrogate and will involve travel to the Harrogate office and local organisations and user groups. Travel may also be required around York and Craven.
Tasks will include:
- Supporting Monthly EDI meetings
- Helping staff to take forward any ideas/actions discussed in meetings for improved EDI activities
- Maintaining an annual calendar of EDI events and supporting staff to plan and carry out events in house, online and in local community
- To support the service and staff team to obtain feedback from all individuals who have used our services
- To provide a routine telephone follow up following feedback and completion of service from all individuals who have used our services
- To support a presence at local EDI groups and events which will include local women’s group, women’s outreach/community bus, further opportunities to be explored
- To promote Crossroads service whilst supporting EDI events and activities
- Offer extra support for clients where needed with EDI, such as supporting attendance at EDI/events/groups with them
- Equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) plays a huge role in ensuring we are properly supporting our service users, staff and everyone in contact with the service

Volunteer – Criminal Justice Support
If you are compassionate and non-judgemental, with an interest in volunteering and the Criminal Justice system, we would love to hear from you. This role involves assisting the criminal justice team within an established drug treatment service, where adults can access support to make changes to their drug use.

Volunteer – Young People’s Outreach Facilitator
At Insightful Families we take a whole family approach to working with everyone in the family impacted by substance use. We offer a free confidential friendly service for children, young people, parents and carers in Haringey. We focus on strengthening resilience, family cohesion, reducing conflict to improve wellbeing at home and in the community.
We would love to involve a volunteer who will be able to engage and relate with young people in the borough affected by substance use, particularly young black men. Having some insight into the impact of substance use on young people (whether directly or indirectly) would be beneficial. Through this engagement, you will help young people to be aware of the support available to them, and to feel confident to access this support.

Volunteer – Young People’s Outreach Facilitator
Could you engage with young people in Enfield to support and inform in relation to alcohol and drugs?
Insight Sort-It Enfield provides information, advice and help for young people who are impacted by or living with drug and alcohol issues, as well as guidance and support with sexual health and relationships. Our service is open to young people living in the London borough of Enfield, as well as family, friends and carers of those affected by someone’s drug or alcohol use.
We also work with local schools to offer workshops and assemblies to inform young people about drugs and alcohol and how to find support.

Volunteer Buddy
Location: Depending on the aspects of the role you wish to be involved with the location may vary, but it will be based at our site in Forrest Hill.
Timings: The timings will be flexible and we aim to work around volunteers’ availability, we just ask that you are able to be consistent.
Training: This role will involve specific training, and volunteers will be asked to complete some online training modules, as well as having access to a wide range of other training via our platform, Learning kind

Volunteer Group Co-Facilitator
This role is to help Pier Road Project, in conjunction with Mind, to support Family members and Carers affected by the substance use of someone close to them.
- Support fortnightly drop-in Dual Diagnosis group at Mind in Bexley.
- Stand in for the Co-Facilitator of the Monday and (monthly) Tuesday Dual Diagnosis groups if they are away.
- Support wellbeing events making tea & Coffee and mingling with carers making sure the needs are being met at the events.
There may be an opportunity to support future groups that are being set up, however this will be reviewed if and when this happens.
