Recent violence and rioting across England have understandably caused distress and fear to many people. Intolerance, racism and hate are contrary to everything Humankind, Richmond Fellowship and Aquarius stand for and I like to think that last night’s protests against the far right showed what we can do when we stand together.
In recent days we took the difficult decision to close some of our services early based on information about potential far-right presence in some of the communities we serve.
In the coming days and weeks, we will monitor the situation closely and do everything we can to keep disruption to a minimum. We’ll continue to support any of our staff, volunteers and people who use our services who feel unsafe or under attack.
