A&E Alcohol Link Worker - Scarborough General Hospital
Supporting you in Scarborough Hospital to avoid further alcohol-related accident or emergency treatment
We're here to help
If you’re admitted to Scarborough General Hospital with an alcohol-related accident or emergency, our dedicated A&E Alcohol Worker can offer you free, confidential support and advice.
We help you to make informed decisions about how much alcohol you drink. We want to help reduce the chances of you or someone else needing another trip to A&E in the future.
Based in Scarborough Hospital
We’re based inside A&E at Scarborough General Hospital. We can see you there, or on a ward if you’re admitted for observation or further treatment.
We can also organise to come and see you after you’re discharged (up to a maximum of three sessions). Sessions can take place in the North Yorkshire Horizons Hub in Scarborough, in a local community setting, or if you prefer, we can visit you at home.
